Learning Outcomes:

Training:
- Comprehensive orientation on production procedures, on-set etiquette, safety, and office protocols.
- Hands-on training sessions covering set operations, equipment handling, grip support, and logistical coordination.
- Additional role-specific workshops and mentorship with production leads.
- Participation in 20+ productions and live events throughout the semester.
Tasks:
- Support daily production activities both in the office and on set, assisting with coordination, communication, and logistics.
- Act as a set PA, assisting directors, producers, crew members, and talent with on-set needs.
- Perform office PA duties, including email correspondence, file organization, phone assistance, and paperwork support.
- Provide grip assistance, including safe movement and setup of production equipment, light rigging, and basic support of camera/lighting grip tasks.
- Help transport, load, organize, and return equipment; some heavy lifting and physical work may be required (up to 50 lbs).
- Distribute and manage production documents and communication between departments.
- Support production team with talent coordination, crowd control, and communication during shoots.
- Assist in prep, wrap, and cleanup operations on set to ensure timely turnover between scenes.
- Assist with equipment room organization, inventory tracking, and general gear maintenance.
- Serve as a point of contact for cast, crew, and visitors while maintaining a professional set environment.
- Provide event support (music festivals, film festivals, and DJ set setup).
- Perform other duties as determined by 22 West Media Student Leads and the Assistant Director of Student Media.
Internship Requirement:
To intern with 22 West Media, you must be a current student enrolled in an approved internship course for your major. Please ensure that you are registered for the appropriate course (e.g., CBA 493, KIN 494, CINE 492, JOUR 498, ART 442, COMM 492A) upon applying for internships. This helps ensure you receive deadline sensitive information from the internship course instructor regarding course requirements; it is easier to drop the course than it is to add it.
