What You’ll Do:
Our Recreation Therapists make a difference in the lives of our patients. Our dedicated professionals work tirelessly to create an environment that fosters healing, growth, and long-term wellness.
Incumbent will provide therapeutic recreational therapy services to our adult, adolescent, or child patients; develops and implements adjunctive therapy treatment plans in concert with the interdisciplinary treatment team and demonstrates sound application of recreation methodology.
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
· Certification or registration required (CTRS, RTC)
· 2 years or more experience in a healthcare field. Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
· Excellent communication, assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
· Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment
· Flexibility, teaching or training skills helpful; understanding of DSMIIIR methodology
· Current BLS for healthcare provider card upon hire
· Therapeutic Options™ training to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor
