JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with planning outreach visits
- Give presentations to prospective students
- Support yield efforts such as new admit programming and family engagement events
- Communicate with students about important enrollment requirements and dates
- Participate in planning and implementation of programming for Promise students
- Promote tutoring, academic coaching, and advising services
- Promote CSULB holistic supports, special events, and other programming beneficial to Promise students
- Promote Career Development Center and University Center for Undergraduate Advising to help undeclared Promise students learn about possible major and career pathways
- Assist in the planning and implementation of peer engagement activities such special events, workshops, and networking activities
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
- Weekday availability preferred
- Open availability required on Fridays
- Occasional evenings and weekends as needed
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
- Use of personal vehicle with compensation
- CA Driver License
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2.5 GPA for undergraduate students
- Minimum 3.0 GPA for graduate students
- Preferred education: Graduate student or highly qualified undergraduate
- Preferred areas of study: Communication, Education, Marketing, Public Administration
- Preferred experience: public speaking, social media, community involvement, graphic design
- Preferred qualities: adaptable, creative, individually motivated, inquisitive, organized
