Must speak fluent Spanish and fluent English. Provide in-person, or phone interpretation during client meetings, consultations and related communications. Assist attorneys and staff in communicating effectively with Spanish-speaking clients. Maintain confidentiality of all client and case information in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
- Fluency in both English and Spanish (spoken and written).
- Prior experience translating or interpreting in a legal setting strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology in both languages (especially probate, trusts, and estate law).
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Certification in translation/interpretation is a plus but not required.
