Mozena Medical Supplies & Equipment, Inc. is a family-owned business that has proudly served the Long Beach community for nearly 20 years. We’re looking for a dependable, motivated team member with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. This is a part-time position with an excellent opportunity to grow into a full-time career.
This position is especially well suited for students majoring in Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Kinesiology, Business Administration, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, and other healthcare or business-related fields. You’ll gain real-world experience that simply can’t be learned in a classroom.
No medical equipment experience is required. We’ll train the right person.
Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to mentor college students who have gone on to successful careers in healthcare, engineering, business, education, and other professions. We’re proud to have played a small part in helping prepare them for their future careers, and we’d love to help the next student build that same foundation.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining wheelchairs, mobility scooters, hospital beds, lift chairs, oxygen concentrators, and other medical equipment; delivering, setting up, and picking up equipment; assisting customers in our retail showroom and over the phone; organizing inventory, the warehouse, and repair area; shipping and receiving; and assisting with a variety of business projects. Every day is different, giving you the opportunity to learn new skills while making a real difference in our customers’ lives.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, organized, customer-focused, and willing to pitch in wherever needed. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required, along with the ability to safely lift and move medical equipment.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat, AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and Microsoft Copilot, Dropbox, Google Docs, Google Drive, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Photoshop, Point of Sale (POS) systems, QuickBooks, and WeTransfer is helpful, but not required. We’ll train the right person.
The ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.
