Fuel Us! Sports + Entertainment is the media and content division of Watch Me! Sports Bar, Southern California’s Community House for Women’s Sports. We tell the stories of athletes, coaches, creators, and organizations through podcasting, digital content, and live experiences that strengthen the women’s sports community.
This internship is designed for someone looking to gain real-world production experience in a professional podcast studio while helping create meaningful sports and entertainment content.
Position Summary
The Podcast Studio Production Intern will assist in all aspects of podcast production, from studio preparation through post-production editing. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with previous experience operating cameras and production equipment who wants to build an impressive portfolio while working alongside athletes, creators, and industry professionals.
Responsibilities
Studio Production
- Set up and break down the podcast studio before and after each recording.
- Configure cameras, tripods, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Perform equipment checks to ensure professional video and audio quality.
- Monitor recordings to ensure consistent camera framing and sound quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready studio.
Camera & Audio
- Operate multiple cameras during podcast recordings.
- Set and adjust professional lighting.
- Configure microphones, audio interfaces, and recording software.
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues during productions.
Post-Production
- Edit podcast video and audio.
- Sync multiple camera angles.
- Color correct and adjust audio levels.
- Export final podcast episodes according to production specifications.
- Assist in creating clips for social media when needed.
General Production Support
- Assist hosts and guests during recording sessions.
- Help organize media files and production assets.
- Maintain production equipment inventory.
- Support additional content creation opportunities and special events as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience with camera setup and operation.
- Working knowledge of studio lighting techniques.
- Experience with podcast or video audio equipment.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
- Passion for sports, media production, and storytelling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with multi-camera productions.
- Photography or videography experience.
- Familiarity with podcast production workflows.
- Interest in women’s sports and community-driven media.
Internship Details
- Position: Production Intern
- Location: Watch Me! Sports Bar – Long Beach, California
- Schedule: Flexible based on podcast production schedule.
- Compensation: This internship is currently unpaid. Compensation will be reviewed after the successful completion of 10 podcast production shoots, based on performance, production needs, and business growth.
