>> I'm Tim King, I am the hockey color analyst for the Penn State Sports Network. My job entails basically cataloging every piece of information about the particular hockey game that we're covering. From the mundane to the important statistics, backgrounds on the players, you know what affiliations their parents might have with the university, that sort of thing. Game day for a home day, morning skate about nine o'clock, just hang around the rink, see what the guys look like, if somebody looks particularly good or particularly bad, do they look injured, do they look like they're having a rough day. Just talking to the coaches to kind of get a feel for things. Go back to the hotel in the afternoon and just compile a couple more statistics, make sure that I've got the proper numbers that sort of thing. Get to the rink about two hours before game time, interact with the broadcast crew from the other school, there's you know maybe some question they have about our team or a question or two I have about their team and sometimes it's silly little things like pronunciations or things like that, make sure that you really have things like that locked down before you go on the air. Keep an eye on things during pregame warmup, make sure nobody gets hurt, make sure nobody looks out of place or something looks wrong. And then after the game probably leave the rink 45 minutes and hour after the game ends. And because of the way the college hockey is setup, we'll play again the next night. So you're taking all those statistics that were generated during the game, adding everything into what you already had to make sure that everything you have for the following night is up to date.
