>> I can't tell you how important it is to find yourself a mentor. A sounding board. Someone to guide you through your early career years and beyond. Your mentor could be someone you know or someone outside of your immediate circle. But, whoever it is, it should be someone that you trust and respect. Here are some other qualities to look for in your mentor. Someone who is willing to share their expertise with you. Someone who is a good listener and a good role model. Someone who is authentic and cares about your professional growth. Someone who is respected in their given industry and has had success. And, finally, someone who will level with you and not just tell what you want to hear. And, if you choose to have more than one mentor, just make sure they fill different roles in your development.
